“Technically I’m not a guitar player. All I play is truth and emotion.” This beautiful statement comes from Jimi Hendrix, but also fits TUBILAH exactly. And in two respects. On the one hand, on his debut album “Upside Down”, TUBILAH merges pure sound and emotion into a meditative journey that completely decelerates. A musical antidepressant that promises dopamine for the soul in these uncertain times. And there is something else that connects TUBLIAH and the legend: Both are left-handed and play their instruments the other way round. The guitar is – as with Hendrix – Tubilah’s emotional heartbeat. “My unusual way of learning the guitar is reflected in my guiding principle: never follow well-worn paths and find your own special approach for every musical task,” the artist explains.
Behind TUBILAH is Jörn Heilbut – who has been a successful composer, producer and professional guitarist for many top German stars for many years. His work as a studio musician can be heard on numerous albums today: Helene Fischer, Ina Müller, Santiano, the Kelly Family or his own band The Jeremy Days are just a few references to his work.
